The Most Important Thing I'll Do Today

I live in Florida and there is a huge gay population in Florida. I don't know how you missed them. They don't seem to share your opinion of Florida. I don't see a mass exodus happening or any newsworthy events.
Oh, I know there's a huge gay population down there -- remember, born and raised -- but frankly, with treatment like this, there shouldn't be. It's like I said -- I love Florida, but Florida doesn't love me back. If the state is of the opinion that I'm a second-class citizen, then I'll take my citizenship elsewhere, thanks.

I read about this a few days before I saw your post. Apparently, he held this job for some 15 years. No complaints, only praise for his skills. I also read that he works under a contract that allows them to fire him for any reason so I do not think he will have any legal recourse. It's very sad that it is still legal to discriminate for such reasons. Hopefully, this will change in our lifetime(s).
